Per-document runtime (s): 313.33
Summary
The Swedish Fund Selection Agency (FTN) has published the award decision for the procurement of actively managed European equity funds for the premium pension fund platform. The procurement affects approximately 130,000 pension savers and covers assets under management of SEK 11 billion as of December 31, 2023. Out of six awarded funds, three are already on the platform.
The procurement process involved a market dialogue with potential tenderers, followed by an evaluation phase where tenders were assessed against administrative requirements, exclusion criteria, and mandatory requirements. A total of 12 correct and complete tenders were submitted, which met the requirements and proceeded to the evaluation phase.
The evaluation emphasized factors such as fund fees, investment philosophy and process, control functions, management organization, and investment performance. Interviews and on-site visits were also conducted as part of the evaluation process.
FTN has established that a sufficient number of high-quality tenders were received to enable a final result that meets legal requirements. The procured funds must meet statutory requirements of suitability, controllability, sustainability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
